Probate & Trust Administration

Regardless of whether a person has a Will, most estates must go through probate, which can be a daunting task while coping with a loved one’s passing. Probate is the legal process by which a person’s estate assets are distributed. There are various types of probate and which to implement generally depends upon whether a Will exists, the types of assets of the estate and the language of the Will. We are here to walk you through the probate process and make it as simple as possible during a difficult time.

If your loved one had a Trust, you may be named as a trustee or beneficiary of the trust. A trustee’s job is to administer the Trust, and s/he bears fiduciary duties to the beneficiaries of the Trust. To avoid liability as a trustee it is important to correctly administer the Trust. If you have been appointed trustee, and need help in administering the Trust, we can explain your duties, clarify the trust language and guide you in properly administering the Trust.

If you have been named as a beneficiary of a Trust or Will and have questions regarding the administration, we can help determine your rights and ensure you are receiving the proper distribution.
